If you presently use a water soluble fertilizer to create your fertilizer solutions for use with sterilized or high organic matter media, you should use Plant Food Co.'s 10-10-10 Blu-Gro® or Blu-Gro® 10-4-6 Greenhouse Special! They are already in liquid form and are easier to handle, measure and mix.

Plant Food Co.'s Blu-Gro® 10-10-10 Blu-Gro® is formulated with urea nitrogen and low chlorides to sustain a longer nitrogen response to application. Blu-Gro® contains Sulfur and EDTA chelated micronutrients.

Plant Food Co.'s Blu-Gro® 10-4-6 Greenhouse Special is formulated to supply 45% of the nitrogen in the nitrate form, 45% in the ammoniacal form and 10% from Urea to provide a balanced nitrogen response. If you are using a sterilized, soilless growing media, it may not contain the necessary soil microorganisms (agrobacterium), needed to break down other nitrogen sources to the plant usable form of nitrate and ammoniacal nitrogen.

Plant Food Co.'s Blu-Gro® 10-4-6 Greenhouse Special is formulated with a lower phosphorous content to help prevent plant elongation (stretching) and is low in Chlorides to help prevent salt buildup in the media. It contains Sulfur and EDTA chelated micronutrients for optimum plant growth.

Plant Food Co.'s 10-10-10 Blu-Gro® and Blu-Gro® 10-4-6 Greenhouse Special are easier to handle, store, measure and mix. Already in liquid form, no dissolving with warm water, no precipitates to clog filters or emitters/irrigation heads.

Liquid feeding (fertigation) using Plant Food Co.'s 10-10-10 Blu-Gro® or Blu-Gro® 10-4-6 Greenhouse Special eliminates uneven application of dry fertilizers and fertigation problems caused by uncontrolled release from "slow release" granular fertilizers. Fertigation allows optimum control of nutrient application rates through ppm or the electro conductivity (E.C.) method.
