Blu-Gro® on blueberries increased fruit firmness by 14 percent over those fertilized with a dry 10-10-10 fertilizer! In a more detailed study comparing trickle fertigation and trickle fertigation with dry fertilizer being applied, this trend for firmer fruit continued. This study was done to make sure it is the Blu-Gro® 10-10-10 liquid fertilizer treatment increasing the fruit firmness and not just trickle irrigation. Replicated trials have also shown a large yield increase when blueberries are trickle fertigated with 10-10-10 Blu-Gro® as compared to dry fertilizer and overhead irrigation.
