Product Downloads
Sugar energy source for soil microorganisms
Blackstrap Molasses is the by-product of sugar refining that contains all the nutrients from the raw sugarcane plant. Of the varieties of molasses, Blackstrap Molasses is richest in sources of sugars, carbon, enzymes, B-vitamins and trace elements. Blackstrap Molasses is a carbohydrate energy source that feeds soil microorganisms and increases microbial activity. With continued applications, Blackstrap Molasses encourages a soil environment that helps reduce thatch.
Directions for Use:
Greens, Tees and Fine Turf: Apply 3.0 - 6.0 oz. of Blackstrap Molasses with 1.5 - 2 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. (1.0 - 2.0 gallons of Blackstrap Molasses with 66 - 88 gallons of water per Acre) every 10 to 14 days throughout the growing season. For heavy thatch areas, use the higher rate at weekly applications.
Fairways, Roughs, Sports Turf and Lawns: Apply 1.0 - 2.0 gallons of Blackstrap Molasses with 44 - 88 gallons of water per acre (3.0 - 6.0 oz of Blackstrap Molasses with 1.5 - 2 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft.) every 2 weeks during stress periods.
Aerification: Apply 3.0 - 6.0 oz. of Blackstrap Molasses with 1.5 - 2 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. (1.0 - 2.0 gallons of Blackstrap Molasses with 66 - 88 gallons of water per Acre) 7 days before
and again 7 days after aerification.
Benefits of Blackstrap Molasses:
- Increases Plant Health
- Increases Microbial Activity
- Increases Leaf Color
- Decreases Thatch
- Improves Fertilizer efficacy
Blackstrap Molasses may be added to foliar sprays to enhance adhesion to leaf surfaces.
